CVE-2020-8912 is a low-severity vulnerability in the AWS S3 Crypto SDK for GoLang versions prior to V2, where an attacker with write access to a bucket can manipulate the encryption algorithm of an object. This allows a change from AES-GCM to AES-CTR, which, when combined with a decryption oracle, can expose the authentication key used by AES-GCM. The attack requires local access and high attack complexity, resulting in a low impact on confidentiality and no impact on integrity or availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
