22
FAUCET Score

CVE-2020-6530 describes an out-of-bounds memory access vulnerability in Google Chrome's developer tools, affecting versions prior to 84.0.4147.89, as well as Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE distributions. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) could allow an unauthenticated attacker to achieve heap corruption and potentially execute arbitrary code if a user is tricked into installing a malicious Chrome extension. While there is no evidence of active exploitation (KEV: No) and no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB: None), the vulnerability has garnered some community discussion and media coverage.
