CVE-2020-5945 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Traffic Management User Interface (TMUI) of F5 BIG-IP versions 16.0.0-16.0.0.1, 15.1.0-15.1.0.5, and 14.1.0-14.1.2.7. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.4) allows a highly privileged attacker (e.g., a resource administrator) to escalate their privileges to full administrator by enticing a user to interact with a malicious link. While the attack complexity is low, successful exploitation can lead to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, and the vulnerability has not been observed in active exploitation or garnered significant community discussion.
