CVE-2020-4782 describes a directory traversal vulnerability in IBM WebSphere Application Server versions 7.0, 8.0, 8.5, and 9.0. An authenticated remote attacker could exploit this by sending a specially crafted URL with "dot dot" sequences to view arbitrary files on the system. Rated 6.5 Medium on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and high confidentiality impact, but no integrity or availability impact. There is currently no public exploit code available, no evidence of active exploitation, and minimal community discussion or media coverage.
