CVE-2020-3253 is a vulnerability in the support tunnel feature of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software. An authenticated, local attacker can exploit improper configuration to gain root access to the device's shell, even when expert mode is disabled. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.7) requires high privileges and local access, but allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
