CVE-2020-3134 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the zip decompression engine of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA) releases earlier than 13.0. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted zip-compressed email attachment. This improper validation of zip files can trigger a restart of the content-scanning process, leading to a temporary DoS condition. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium) with a low impact on integrity and availability, and no user interaction required. There is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
