CVE-2020-29563 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Western Digital My Cloud OS 5 devices prior to version 5.07.118, including several My Cloud NAS models. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.8) allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain full administrative access to the device over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion or media coverage.
