16
FAUCET Score

CVE-2020-14965 describes a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting TP-Link TL-WR740N v4 and TL-WR740ND v4 routers. An authenticated attacker can inject HTML code into the access control settings, specifically within the targets_lists_name or hosts_lists_name fields. This vulnerability can also be exploited via Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) without requiring prior authentication. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 4.8), the attack requires user interaction (UI:R) and a high privilege level (PR:H) if not using CSRF, but can lead to low impact on confidentiality and integrity (C:L, I:L). While the vulnerability is publicly disclosed, there is no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there known Metasploit modules, Nuclei templates, or ExploitDB entries. Community discussion and media coverage for this CVE are minimal.
