CVE-2020-13952 describes a critical vulnerability in Apache Superset versions prior to 0.37.2. Authenticated users could exploit templated fields in Hive and Presto queries to access sensitive data, including database metadata, hashed user passwords, and plaintext connection credentials. This flaw also allowed arbitrary method execution on database connection objects, bypassing Superset's internal security controls. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and no user interaction, leading to high confidentiality and integrity impacts. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
