CVE-2019-5609 is a memory corruption vulnerability affecting FreeBSD 11.2, 11.3, and 12.0. The bhyve hypervisor's e1000 device emulation fails to validate guest-provided buffer sizes during TCP segmentation offload, allowing a malicious guest to overwrite memory in the host's bhyve process. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability has a network attack vector and low attack complexity, potentially leading to host compromise.
