CVE-2019-5253

CVE-2019-5253 describes an improper authentication vulnerability in Huawei E5572-855 devices with firmware versions prior to 8.0.1.3(H335SP1C233). This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker, after performing a man-in-the-middle attack, to force the device to reboot by exploiting insufficient authentication during certain operations. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 5.9), the attack requires high complexity due to the prerequisite MITM attack, but could lead to denial of service.
