CVE-2019-3556 is a path traversal vulnerability in HHVM's "admin" server, affecting versions prior to 4.56.2 and several versions between 4.57.0 and 4.83.0. An authenticated attacker can exploit the 'dump-pcre-cache' handler to write arbitrary files on the filesystem where the HHVM user has write access, leading to high impact on integrity and availability. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
