CVE-2019-1849 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Cisco IOS XR Software's BGP MPLS-based EVPN implementation. An unauthenticated, adjacent attacker can exploit a logic error by injecting malicious traffic patterns, causing the l2vpn_mgr process to crash on Provider Edge devices. This results in system instability and a DoS condition requiring manual intervention. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 6.5), it has a low attack complexity and high impact on availability, but there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion.
