CVE-2018-7942 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in the iBMC of certain Huawei servers. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted messages, leading to potential information leakage due to improper authentication design. This vulnerability has a CVSSv3 score of 7.5 (HIGH), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and high confidentiality impact. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
