CVE-2018-7920 describes an improper resource management vulnerability in multiple Huawei AR series routers (AR1200, AR160, AR200, AR2200, AR3200) running specific firmware versions. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted TCP messages to the management interface. This can exhaust the device's socket resources, leading to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH) due to its network attack vector and high impact on availability, with no user interaction required. Currently, there is no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
