CVE-2018-7854 is a Denial of Service vulnerability affecting Schneider Electric Modicon M580, M340, Quantum, and Premium controllers. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending invalid debug parameters via Modbus, causing an uncaught exception and rendering the controller unresponsive. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required, leading to a complete loss of availability.
