CVE-2018-6519 is a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability affecting the SAML2 library in SimpleSAMLphp versions prior to 1.10.4, 2.3.5, and 3.1.1. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to trigger a denial of service by sending specially crafted timestamp data containing fraction-of-seconds. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
