CVE-2018-6349 describes a critical stack-based overflow vulnerability in WhatsApp for Android (versions prior to 2.18.248) and WhatsApp Business for Android (versions prior to 2.18.132). This flaw allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted packet during a call, due to a missing size check. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network without user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
