CVE-2018-5461 describes an inadequate encryption strength vulnerability in the web interface of various Belden Hirschmann Classic Platform Switches, including RS, RSR, RSB, MACH100, MACH1000, MACH4000, MS, and OCTOPUS series. This flaw, rated Medium severity with a CVSS score of 6.5, allows an attacker to obtain sensitive information through a successful man-in-the-middle attack due to weak encryption. The attack complexity is high, but no user interaction is required.
