CVE-2018-4916 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Adobe Acrobat and Reader versions 2018.009.20050 and earlier, 2017.011.30070 and earlier, and 2015.006.30394 and earlier. This flaw, residing in the TIFF image conversion module, allows an attacker to write data beyond an intended buffer. With a CVSS v3.0 score of 8.8 (High), successful exploitation could lead to sensitive data corruption or arbitrary code execution, requiring user interaction (e.g., opening a malicious file).
