CVE-2018-4895 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Adobe Acrobat Reader and Acrobat DC versions 2018.009.20050 and earlier, 2017.011.30070 and earlier, and 2015.006.30394 and earlier. This flaw, rated 9.8 CRITICAL, arises from improper handling of Enhanced Metafile Format Plus (EMF+) data within the image conversion engine, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to remotely execute arbitrary code or corrupt sensitive data without user interaction. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
