CVE-2018-3591 is a critical vulnerability affecting numerous Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile and Wear platforms in Android devices before the 2018-04-05 security patch level. The default build configuration of 'deviceprogrammer' in BOOT.BF.3.0 inadvertently enabled a flag that exposed "peek and poke" commands to any memory location on the target. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability allows for unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
