CVE-2018-3064 is a vulnerability in the InnoDB subcomponent of Oracle MySQL Server, affecting versions 5.6.40 and prior, 5.7.22 and prior, and 8.0.11 and prior, as well as related products from Canonical, Debian, MariaDB, and NetApp. This easily exploitable flaw allows a low-privileged attacker with network access to cause a complete denial of service (crash) of the MySQL Server and gain unauthorized data modification capabilities. With a CVSS v3.0 base score of 7.1 (High), it presents a significant risk to integrity and availability. There is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this vulnerability.
