CVE-2018-25029 describes a vulnerability in the Z-Wave specification that allows an attacker within radio range during device pairing to downgrade S2 security to S0 or other less secure protocols. This downgrade then enables exploitation of CVE-2013-20003 to intercept and spoof traffic, affecting various Silicon Labs Z-Wave modules and firmware. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (HIGH), this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and can lead to high confidentiality and integrity impacts.
