This flaw allows an attacker to overwrite existing files on a system by crafting a malicious tarball containing a hardlink to an existing file followed by a plain file with the same name. Rated with a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), it presents a significant integrity impact (I:H) with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
