CVE-2018-19086

CVE-2018-19086 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the RegFilter.sys driver of IOBit Malware Fighter 6.2. An attacker can trigger this by sending a crafted IOCTL 0x8006E040 with oversized data, potentially leading to a denial of service or arbitrary code execution with root privileges. Rated with a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this local vulnerability is relatively easy to exploit once an attacker has low-level access to the system.
