CVE-2018-18913 is a DLL Search Order Hijacking vulnerability affecting Opera before version 57.0.3098.106 on Windows systems. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted ZIP archive containing an HTML page and a malicious DLL. When the user opens the HTML file, the vulnerable Opera browser attempts to load legitimate DLLs (shcore.dll and dcomp.dll) from the same directory, inadvertently executing the attacker's malicious DLL. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), indicating a high potential for impact, allowing an attacker to gain full control of the system with low attack complexity.
