CVE-2018-18730 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the web server (httpd) of several Tenda AC series routers, including AC7, AC9, AC10, AC15, and AC18. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to remotely trigger a denial-of-service by sending a specially crafted POST request with oversized 'startIp' and 'endIp' parameters, overwriting the function's return address on the stack. Rated with a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires no user interaction, leading to high availability impact. There is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
