CVE-2018-16472 is a prototype pollution vulnerability affecting cached-path-relative versions up to 1.0.1, as well as related Debian packages. An unauthenticated attacker can inject properties into Object.prototype, leading to a denial-of-service (DoS) attack by corrupting JavaScript objects. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High) due to its network-based attack vector and low attack complexity, resulting in high availability impact.
