CVE-2018-15772 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability affecting Dell EMC RecoverPoint versions prior to 5.1.2.1 and RecoverPoint for VMs versions prior to 5.2.0.2. A malicious boxmgmt user can exploit this flaw via the Boxmgmt CLI to consume significant CPU resources, leading to system slowdowns or to determine the existence of system files. With a CVSS score of 7.1 (HIGH), this vulnerability has a local attack vector and low attack complexity, potentially resulting in high availability impact.
