CVE-2018-12237

25
FAUCET Score

CVE-2018-12237 is an OS command injection vulnerability affecting Symantec Reporter CLI versions prior to 10.1.5.6 and 10.2.1.8. An authenticated malicious administrator with Enable mode access can exploit this to execute arbitrary OS commands with elevated system privileges. This is a high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.2) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploit code or active exploitation has been observed, and community discussion is minimal, the potential for a highly privileged attacker to compromise the system remains.
