CVE-2018-11460 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting multiple versions of Siemens SINUMERIK 808D, 828D, and 840D sl industrial control systems. A local attacker with elevated 'manufact' privileges can modify a CRAMFS archive, leading to arbitrary code execution with root privileges upon system reboot. This allows for a complete compromise of the system's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
