CVE-2018-0289 describes a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the logs component of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) software. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 6.1) allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to inject malicious scripts into log files due to improper input validation. While exploitation requires an administrator to view the compromised logs, successful attacks could lead to information disclosure or unauthorized actions within the administrator's session. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
