CVE-2018-0280 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in Cisco Meeting Server versions 2.0 through 2.3, stemming from insufficient input validation of Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) bitstreams. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted RTP bitstream, causing media process crashes and disrupting audio/video services. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required, leading to a complete loss of availability. Currently, there is no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) or evidence of active exploitation, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
