CVE-2018-0251 describes a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Clientless SSL VPN portal of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, affecting various ASA products including the 3000 Series, ASAv, and 5500/5500-X Series. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.1) allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary script code or access sensitive browser information by tricking a user into clicking a crafted link. The exploit requires user interaction and is due to insufficient input validation.
