CVE-2018-0122 is a vulnerability in the Cisco StarOS CLI affecting Cisco ASR 5000 Series routers, including the ASR 5000, 5500, and 5700. This flaw allows an authenticated, local attacker to overwrite system files in flash memory due to insufficient input validation. With a CVSS score of 4.4 (Medium), exploitation requires valid administrator credentials and local access, but a successful attack could lead to arbitrary file modification. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
