CVE-2017-8405 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in D-Link DCS-1100 and DCS-1130 IP cameras. The rtspd binary, responsible for RTSP connections, defaults to not requiring authentication for video feeds, even though the HTTP management interface does. This allows unauthenticated attackers to view live video feeds remotely. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a high impact on confidentiality. There is no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
