CVE-2017-7618 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the crypto/ahash.c component of the Linux kernel, affecting versions up to 4.10.9. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger infinite recursion by causing EBUSY on a full queue, leading to system unavailability. Rated 7.5 HIGH, this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and no user interaction is required. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
