CVE-2017-6641 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in Cisco Remote Expert Manager Software 11.0.0. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit a lack of TCP connection rate-limiting to disable TCP ports by flooding the system with crafted TCP traffic, such as packets with the FIN bit set. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.5) allows attackers to disrupt service and exhaust system resources, requiring a restart to restore functionality. There is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
