CVE-2017-5700 describes an insufficient password storage protection vulnerability in the system firmware of specific Intel NUC7i3, NUC7i5, and NUC7i7 models (versions BN0049 and below). This flaw allows a local attacker to bypass Administrator and User passwords by directly accessing the inadequately secured password storage. With a CVSS v3 score of 8.4 (High), this vulnerability presents a significant risk, enabling high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
