CVE-2017-2668 is an invalid pointer dereference vulnerability affecting 389-ds-base versions prior to 1.3.5.17 and 1.3.6.10, impacting various Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux products. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted LDAP bind request, causing the ns-slapd service to crash. This results in a denial of service (DoS) with a CVSS v3 score of 6.5 (Medium).
