CVE-2017-2450 describes an out-of-bounds read vulnerability within the CoreText component of Apple's iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems prior to versions 10.3, 10.12.4, 10.2, and 3.2 respectively. This flaw allows a remote attacker to trigger an application crash (denial of service) or obtain sensitive information by enticing a user to open a specially crafted font file.
