CVE-2017-17300 describes a numeric errors vulnerability in multiple Huawei S-series switches (S12700, S5700, S6700, S7700, S9700) across various firmware versions. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted TCP messages with keychain authentication options. Improper validation of these messages leads to numeric errors, causing the affected devices to reset. This vulnerability has a CVSSv3 score of 7.5 (High), indicating a high impact on availability with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
