CVE-2017-1723 is a directory traversal vulnerability affecting IBM Security QRadar SIEM 7.2 and 7.3, as well as QRadar Incident Forensics and Network Insights. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted URL with "../" sequences to view arbitrary files on the system. With a CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium), this vulnerability requires low privileges and network access, but has a high impact on confidentiality. There is currently no public exploit code available, and it has not been observed in active exploitation or discussed widely within the cybersecurity community.
