CVE-2017-17142 describes an overflow vulnerability in the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) module of various Huawei products, including DP300, RP200, RSE6500, TE series, TP series, ViewPoint 9030, and eSpace U19xx devices. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted SIP message, causing a process reboot at random. This vulnerability has a CVSS v3.0 score of 5.3 (Medium), indicating a low impact on availability with no confidentiality or integrity impact, and can be exploited remotely without user interaction.
