CVE-2017-16654 is a directory traversal vulnerability affecting multiple versions of Symfony, including those before 2.7.38, 2.8.31, 3.2.14, 3.3.13, 3.4-BETA5, and 4.0-BETA5. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by manipulating the locale argument in the Intl component to access arbitrary files on the local filesystem. Rated as high severity (CVSS 7.5), this vulnerability allows for sensitive information disclosure with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
