28
FAUCET Score

CVE-2017-16546 is a high-severity vulnerability in ImageMagick (versions 7.0.7-9 and earlier) that allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or potentially other impacts. The flaw resides in the ReadWPGImage function, which fails to properly validate colormap indices in WPG palettes, leading to the use of uninitialized data or invalid memory allocation when processing a malformed WPG file. With a CVSS score of 8.8, this vulnerability can be exploited over the network with low attack complexity, requiring user interaction.
