CVE-2017-16324 describes multiple critical buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the PubNub message handler of Insteon Hub firmware version 1012. Specifically, a stack-based buffer overflow can be triggered by specially crafted commands sent via the PubNub service, allowing arbitrary data overwrites. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 9.9 (CRITICAL) due to its network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While an authenticated HTTP request is required to trigger it, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
