CVE-2017-16307 is a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Insteon Hub firmware version 1012. It occurs when specially crafted commands are sent via the PubNub service to the "cc" channel, specifically within the cmd sn_exw function, due to an unbounded strcpy operation. This allows an authenticated attacker to overwrite arbitrary data, leading to a complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
