CVE-2017-15607

30
FAUCET Score

CVE-2017-15607 describes a critical directory traversal vulnerability affecting Inedo Otter versions prior to 1.7.4. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to manipulate file paths using '/' or initial '.' characters within filesystem-based rafts, potentially leading to arbitrary file access, modification, or deletion. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction required, enabling full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) or active exploitation (KEV) has been observed, and community discussion is minimal, the high severity warrants immediate patching.
